target dollar bins

what would i do without target dollar bins. they are the best. i truly live for them. magnets, stools, stickers, toys(slinkys, smurfs...all the vintage stuff), markers, matchbox cars(vw bus), bibs, coloring books(charlie brown), books...the list goes on and on. the best part is my husband doesn't yell at me for spending too much money (and that is rare). interesting fact, i thought target put merchandise that didn't sell in the bins, but i was just told there is a huge process that vendors have to go through to get their merchandise in the bins...it's a competitive one too.

splendid pocket tank

can't live without my splendid pocket tanks. they look great with everything. loosely fitted which is a high priority (since i'm four months postpartum). they come in every color, but lately they have been very hard to find. i would check shopbop.com or splendid.com. you can probably find them on sale at various places too.

shabby chic frames

my friends and i are always trying to find great distressed shabby chic frames that don't break the bank. recently, a friend introduced me to a very cute boutique in michigan, la-dee-da childrens boutique. they have a great assortment of distressed frames at a great price in almost every color you could imagine. i just called and talked to the owners (I think they are the owners) michelle and shanin. it took about 2 weeks and i couldn't be happier with the way it looks and the wonderful customer service i received. i haven't had a chance to see the rest of their merchandise, but from what i've heard it is worth checking out...http://www.babyboutiquebaby.com.

the hollywood foreign press association

im really not sure who my favorite red carpet fashionista was...hmmm. i liked zoe saldana (yummy ruffles), emily blunt(stunning), and carey mulligan (classic but cutesy). if i had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be calista flockhart. her dress had a very vintage feel with a touch of glamour. and i loved the necklace. i must have terrible taste, though, because she or her dress(for that matter) has not been mentioned in one entertainment show red carpet recap.

kiehl's since 1851

ok so, i decided besides the dr. hauschka day cream, i needed something else. i wanted a whole routine, so I went to bloomingdales (cause i have an enormous credit there, thanks to my mom who went and returned all my flatware from my wedding 6 years ago last week...AMAZING, i know). i knew i wanted kiehl's from the start but i thought i would look around. i went to the clarins counter first...much too expensive for me. i am new to the skincare regimen, therefore, i don't need to spend an arm and leg just yet. i dont know what it is about kiehl's, i swear it is the packaging...so simple but so alluring. so there i was...i ended up with the whole ultra-facial set(cleanse, toner, and moisturizer) for $100. now i think thats great. oh, and included in that price is the creamy eye treatment with avocado...love! you can purchase all these kiehl's products at neimans, bloomies, nordies, or on kiehl's.com.

just started using this day cream and i really like it. makes my skin feel so soft and smells yummy. compared to most lotions it is fairly priced at around $40.00. http://www.drhauschka.com/. you can also find it at whole foods or sephora.

magnetic/dry erase board

lately, my son has been into coloring/drawing...on his walls and furniture, of course. i decided to put my creativity to use and went to target. i found these magnetic/dry erase boards for $7.99 each, bought some magnets and presto...although, he still manages to color the walls.
